2010 - 2011 Hull Building Safety Group Awards
On Saturday 12th March the Safety Group had its first Safety Awards Dinner Dance which was attended by some 130 Members and guests. The event at the Country Park Inn on Hessle foreshore was sponsored by Hudson Contract Services with the Safety Awards sponsored and presented by MKM Building Supplies, Hull.
During the evening a game of “Heads and Tails” was played, where Members made donations to take part in the game. We made £530.00 which is to be donated to Red Nose-Comic Relief and to The Japan Earthquake Fund 2011. The eventual winner of the “Heads and Tails" game was Malcolm Daddy who received a bottle of Champagne which I’m sure was quickly opened and drunk!!
The evening closed with a Disco and from the feedback from Members that attended the Event, was hailed a great success and will surely be repeated next year!
Special thanks must go to Mike Thomas and Keith Eames from MKM Building Suppliers who have sponsored the Safety Awards for the last 5 years at least and have assured us that they will do so for the foreseeable future. Thanks again MKM!
